A photobook adaptation of the Kahlil Gibran Masterpiece, The Prophet
The Prophet is a idealistic philosophical take on aspects of life like joy & sorrow, love, teaching, freedom, reason, passion etc. The book inspires me with its simplistic & idealist view on life. This is my effort to contribute and spread the work through a medium I am familiar and comfortable with: Photography.
An effort to archive and capture a few dying languages in India
The history of languages and its evolution is a very fascinating topic. My mother tongue, Tamil, and my wife’s mother tongue, Tulu, are amongst some of the oldest surviving spoken languages to-date. A little research into the respective languages triggered an immense interest for the history of languages originating in India. This project intends to capture the faces, voices and essence of several endangered languages in India with only a few thousand speakers remaining.
Art installation with 3D printed objects and black & white photographs
An exhibit to express the blurred boundaries that exist between reality & illusion and art & technology. The exhibit shall contain a series of black & white images on which shadows of a small 3D printed objects shall be cast. The result would be an image with an overlay of shadow indistinguishable from the image itself.
